Emily and Eric’s wedding day at Twin Oaks Golf Course in San Marcos, CA was the perfect fall celebration. The weather was gorgeous and we had the best time planning every detail alongside them. From the start, they envisioned a timeless design—classic green and white, clean and elegant. Twin Oaks Golf Course is a gem of a venue tucked into northern San Diego, with a beautiful lawn ideal for ceremonies and receptions alike. For their celebration, they opted to have their reception indoors in the light-filled ballroom and it couldn’t have been more stunning. We designed the day with personal touches just for them—from custom stationery and signage, to patterned linens, an ice cream cart moment, sparklers, and so much more. Keep reading for all the details!

The morning started with everyone getting ready, then heading over to the venue. The girls had a special moment together, sipping champagne and sharing stories. Meanwhile, the guys were relaxed and hanging out, soaking in the moment. Our photographer captured flatlays of their beautiful invitation suite and wedding accessories, setting the tone for the day ahead.

Emily and Eric shared a heartfelt first look—it was raw, emotional and truly beautiful to witness. Their love for each other is so genuine and it showed in every glance and gesture. After a few quiet moments together, they took more photos with their wedding party. The bridesmaids looked amazing in green satin dresses that complemented the fall vibe perfectly. One especially sweet moment was the bride’s first look with her dad—so full of love and emotion.

The ceremony was held on the long lawn, framed by white roses and greenery. At the end of the aisle, a rounded floral arch made the perfect backdrop and raw wooden bentwood chairs added a timeless touch. Guests were greeted with a glass of champagne, a lovely welcome sign and an audio guest book to leave their well wishes. It all felt intimate, warm, and full of meaning.

Cocktail hour took place outside and was full of charm. Signature cocktails included old fashioneds and espresso martinis—always a crowd favorite. Guests enjoyed delicious appetizers, a thoughtfully designed seating chart, custom bar signage and patterned linens that added subtle visual interest. Personalized napkins completed the look and tied everything together beautifully.

The reception design featured long wooden tables with soft taper candles, fresh white blooms and custom stationery at each place setting. The sweetheart table was nestled in front of the ceremony arch, giving it a second life in the evening. The cake sat beautifully with the garden views behind it- a picture perfect spot.

Before the reception began, Emily and Eric slipped away for some golden hour photos. These veil shots were especially dreamy—romantic, glowy and full of movement. The timing was perfect, with guests being seated and the sun just beginning to dip behind the hills.

As guests settled in, the reception kicked off with a bang. A white dance floor and custom gobo light monogram set the scene and a white DJ facade helped elevate the whole aesthetic. Their first dance featured cold sparklers—it was magical and such a fun surprise for their guests. After some heartfelt toasts, the dance floor opened and the celebration continued with an ice cream cart, wedding cake and a champagne tower to top it all off. It was the perfect end to a perfect day.
