Nestled in the heart of San Diego, the Fairmont Grand Del Mar is a breathtaking wedding venue exuding European elegance and charm. This stunning resort set the stage for a magical destination wedding, where our couple and their families traveled to celebrate a weekend filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

The day began with a beautiful flat lay photography session, capturing all the intricate details of the wedding stationery and signage. A special touch to the day, the bride, an artist and calligrapher, created all the stationery herself, adding a unique and personal flair to her wedding. We loved the subtle peep of velvet in the envelopes, a perfect foreshadowing of the lush velvet linens that adorned the reception tables later that evening.

The couple and their bridal party got ready in the luxurious suites of the Fairmont Grand Del Mar. The picturesque setting provided the perfect backdrop for stunning pre-ceremony portraits. The bridesmaids looked ethereal in an array of pink and purple dresses, each with different textures and tones that blended harmoniously with the floral design. The bride herself wore an elegant, timeless A-line gown by Leah Da Gloria, radiating grace and sophistication. The groom stood out in a classic white tuxedo, a perfect complement to his bride. And we cannot forget the most adorable members of the wedding party—flower girls in soft pink dresses with bows and their beloved pup sporting a matching velvet bow.

The couple exchanged vows in the intimate on-site chapel at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar. The ceremony space was nothing short of enchanting, featuring long wooden pews, colorful floral arrangements lining the aisle, grand chandeliers, and pristine marble flooring. After a heartfelt exchange of vows, the newlyweds made their grand exit as a lively second-line band led them and their guests to cocktail hour—a meaningful nod to the groom’s Southern roots.

Cocktail hour was filled with delightful details and personal touches. Floral linens, custom bar napkins and a thoughtfully curated cocktail menu added charm to the celebration. One of our favorite details? The bar was lovingly named “Penny’s Spot” after the couple’s beloved dog, Penny, in honor of her adorable spot. A jazz band provided the perfect ambiance, setting the tone for an unforgettable evening ahead.

The reception design was a dream come true. Velvet pink linens, vibrant floral arrangements and hand-stitched napkins for each guest created an inviting and luxurious setting. The warm glow of candlelight added a romantic touch, while the bride’s exquisite stationery tied everything together seamlessly. As the sun dipped below the horizon, guests took their seats just in time for a magical sunset moment.

The newlyweds shared their first dance, kicking off a night filled with joy and celebration. A delicious dinner was served, and as the evening progressed, the energy soared. Guests danced the night away, the wedding cake was cut, and laughter filled the air. The entire weekend was a true celebration of love, family and personalized details that made this wedding at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar absolutely unforgettable.
