Collaborating with Vanessa from XO and Fetti is always an exciting opportunity to push our design skills and explore new creative ideas. For this editorial, we wanted to embrace the beauty of fall and found the perfect setting at Monserate’s newest venue, Villa de Fiore. With its Italian countryside elegance and hints of old California charm, the villa’s stone details and timeless atmosphere brought our vision to life. We loved crafting something fresh for the season—enjoy what we’ve put together!

Vanessa’s talent shines through in every stunning flatlay she creates, turning details into a true work of art. Her eye for composition and styling brought everything together beautifully. Our stationery artist, The Bridal Press, designed an exquisite invitation suite, menus, and vow books, each perfectly complementing our fall aesthetic with thoughtful craftsmanship and elegance. The Prada bridal shoes added a touch of timeless class, making the details even more special. We highly recommend assembling a box with your flatlay items to help your photographer capture everything efficiently. Some key pieces to include are wedding day accessories, day-of stationery, your invitation suite and florals to tie it all together.

For the ceremony, we wanted to break away from the traditional arch and create something unique. Instead of a typical backdrop, we focused on transforming the aisle into a breathtaking floral moment. Our incredible florist used an array of pots and baskets to add texture and dimension, making the design feel organic and artfully curated. At the end of the aisle, a modern floral nest replaced the usual altar setup—a thoughtfully gathered arrangement of florals in varying heights and styles, forming beautiful clusters. To complement the lush green lawn, we chose light rattan chairs, adding the perfect touch of contrast and warmth to the scene.

Just look at our beautiful couple! The lush bouquet was the perfect contrast against the bride’s gown, adding a touch of romance to the look. For this shoot, we wanted to highlight a variety of stunning dresses, and this was the first—a classic A-line design by Antonio Gual, exuding timeless elegance. The groom looked sharp in a sleek tuxedo from State and Liberty, a stylish choice from their La Jolla, CA location. Together, they embodied sophistication and grace, bringing our vision to life effortlessly.

Designing the cocktail hour was such a joy! We wanted to incorporate warm wood tones, rich textures, and patterned linens to create a cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere. The green and white cocktail linens paired beautifully with the warm wooden chairs, adding a touch of effortless elegance. The bar was a standout feature, complete with a full backbar showcasing glassware, florals and an array of pots and baskets for added depth and charm. Another highlight was the seating chart, featuring a mustard yellow hue and a wallpaper-inspired design, perfectly accented with florals. This gorgeous display was brought to life by our signage vendor, Details by Boho Babes. Every detail came together to create an inviting and beautifully curated setting.

For the bride’s second look, she stunned in a dreamy tulle gown by Tara Lauren, bringing an ethereal touch to the shoot. The couple wandered through the vineyards, capturing romantic and magical moments against the breathtaking scenery. Monserate Winery provided the perfect backdrop, with its rolling vines and picturesque landscape setting the stage for truly unforgettable photos.

Designing the reception space was such a fun and inspiring process! I wanted to capture the essence of fall without relying on the traditional autumn color palette. Incorporating patterns was also a key focus, as many couples shy away from prints—I wanted to showcase how they can be used beautifully to create a cohesive and inviting atmosphere. To bring the vision to life, we incorporated natural wood elements, seasonal fruits and lush florals, all coming together in a design that felt both unique and effortlessly elegant.

The bride’s third look was undeniably my favorite—a perfect blend of modern sophistication and timeless elegance. This stunning silk gown by Monique Lhuillier exuded effortless beauty, with its sleek silhouette and refined design. The scoop back added a touch of allure, making it an ideal choice for a chic and stylish reception look.

Let’s take a moment for this incredible cake! I had a clear vision in mind and our talented baker, Vivi Lozano, absolutely brought it to life. I wanted something beyond the traditional wedding cake—something unique and artistic. With vintage cakes being at almost every wedding, I wanted to show that couples can get creative and think outside the box. This design beautifully incorporated the fruits from our tablescape, tying the entire aesthetic together in the most stunning way.
