Elaine and Peter’s wedding was a heartfelt celebration set at the bride’s childhood home, making every moment feel deeply personal and meaningful. There is something incredibly special about returning to a place filled with years of memories and transforming it into the backdrop for such a significant chapter. The familiarity of the space, paired with the excitement of the day, created an atmosphere that felt both intimate and elevated from the very start. The home itself offered a stunning backdrop, with its subtle European influence, timeless architecture, and natural beauty setting the tone for everything that followed.

From the beginning, the design direction was rooted in enhancing what was already there. The home’s European charm inspired a vision that felt traditional, elegant, and inviting, while still feeling fresh and intentional. Rather than overpowering the space, each detail was thoughtfully layered to complement the surroundings. We leaned into soft textures, refined color palettes, and classic elements that would feel cohesive with the property. The result was a design that felt effortless and welcoming, yet deeply curated in every way.

The day began with a calm and meaningful morning as Elaine got ready inside the home she grew up in. There was such a beautiful energy in those early hours, filled with laughter, quiet moments, and anticipation. Being surrounded by familiar spaces and loved ones added an extra layer of emotion to the experience. Shortly after, Elaine and Peter shared a private first look that was incredibly sweet and full of genuine emotion. Wedding party photos followed, bringing a fun and celebratory energy as everyone came together looking absolutely stunning and ready for the day ahead.

As guests began to arrive, they were greeted with the soft, romantic sounds of live string music setting the tone for the ceremony. Lemonade was passed on silver trays, offering a refreshing and welcoming touch as guests settled in. It created such a warm and inviting experience, allowing everyone to fully take in the beauty of the home and grounds.

The ceremony itself was truly one of the most memorable elements of the day. The aisle was custom built over the home’s long, dramatic lap pool, creating a breathtaking focal point that immediately captured everyone’s attention. Chairs were arranged along the sides of the pool, while lush florals were added to enhance and soften the space. The design felt like an extension of a garden, blending natural beauty with intentional structure. It was romantic, elegant, and completely unique, offering a setting that felt both grand and deeply personal.

Following the ceremony, guests transitioned into cocktail hour where featuring soft purple cocktail tables and a custom bar. The color palette felt perfectly balanced against the greenery of the property. One of the most special moments of cocktail hour was when Elaine and Peter welcomed their guests with a heartfelt speech from a balcony overlooking the space. It created such a beautiful connection, allowing them to take in the moment together while sharing their gratitude with everyone below.

Dinner was hosted on the lawn, surrounded by lush greenery and layered florals in shades of purple, white, and green. The design embraced an English garden feel, with long, romantic tables that encouraged connection and conversation. Every place setting was thoughtfully curated, and the soft glow of twinkling market lights overhead created the most inviting ambiance as the sun began to set. The entire space felt warm, refined, and full of life, with each detail working together to create a truly immersive experience.

As the evening continued, the celebration shifted back into the cocktail hour space, which had been completely transformed into a high-energy dance floor. With the addition of dynamic lighting, a checkered dance floor, and a live band, the space came alive in an entirely new way. Guests filled the floor as the music set the tone for an unforgettable night. Elaine and Peter shared a magical first dance, followed by a heartfelt dance between Peter and his mother that was incredibly touching. It was the perfect ending to a day that felt deeply personal, beautifully designed, and filled with moments that will be cherished for years to come.
