Kindall and Justin’s wedding was one of those rare days that felt deeply special from every angle. As a close friend of Kindall’s, I had the unique honor of wearing two hats—standing by her side as a bridesmaid while also planning their wedding. Planning alongside them was such a joyful experience, filled with laughter, trust, and so much love. On the wedding day itself, our amazing Serene team fully took over so I could step back, be present, and truly celebrate with friends.

The day began at the iconic La Valencia Hotel, where Kindall got ready surrounded by her closest girls. The morning felt relaxed and joyful, setting the perfect tone for the day ahead. One very special guest joined us as well—Kindall and Justin’s sweet Frenchie, Chelsea, who came along and instantly stole everyone’s heart.

Thoughtful details were woven in from the very start, including the beautiful stationery designed by Minted. The wedding party looked effortlessly elegant, with the bridesmaids wearing varying shades of blue that felt soft, romantic, and coastal, while the groomsmen kept it timeless in classic black.

The ceremony took place at the stunning Scripps Seaside Forum, with sweeping ocean views creating a breathtaking backdrop. The design featured blue and white florals paired with black accents, from the ceremony chairs to the welcome sign. A meaningful memorial linen sign added a heartfelt touch, honoring loved ones in a way that felt both intentional and beautiful.

The ceremony itself was filled with moments that were equal parts fun and meaningful. Every detail reflected K & J’s story, creating an atmosphere that felt personal, emotional, and joyful. It was the perfect way to kick off the celebration and truly set the tone for the rest of the day.

Following the ceremony, our newlyweds explored the venue for portraits, taking full advantage of the ocean views and palm trees surrounding Scripps. Chelsea joined them once again for photos, making the moments even sweeter and more personal.

Cocktail hour followed with modern, beachy accents and thoughtful design elements throughout. Custom monogrammed aprons, a beautifully styled escort display, and a crowd dressed in colorful, fashionable attire brought so much personality and energy to the space.

Dinner was held outdoors, surrounded by ocean waves and golden light. The reception design featured a mix of long and round tables draped in white linens, paired with black bentwood chairs. Blue and white florals carried the palette through the space, while a custom monogrammed rounded white bar and a black-and-white checkered dance floor added a bold, elevated touch.

Overhead, a stunning floral installation was suspended from the existing pergola, transforming the space into something truly magical. A vintage-inspired wedding cake, paired with beautiful stationery details, added to the romantic and timeless feel of the reception design.

As the sun set, the celebration continued with meaningful toasts, happy tears, and an unforgettable first dance. The dance floor quickly filled as the party began, complete with a classic cake cutting, tray-passed espresso martinis, and a late-night In-N-Out snack as a nod to Southern California. Kindall surprised everyone with an outfit change, looking absolutely stunning as the packed dance floor carried the celebration late into the night, an unforgettable ending to a perfect day.
