MENU

Nestled among rolling hills, olive trees, and European stone architecture, Monserate Winery set the tone for our editorial: a fresh, elevated take on the ever-popular “That’s Amore” theme. Rather than leaning into the overtly literal or kitschy interpretations often associated with Italian-inspired events, our vision focused on layered textures, organic ingredients, and sophisticated styling, while still sprinkling in moments of playfulness.

A ceremony framed by nature

Set against Monserate’s serene landscape, the ceremony design complemented the surrounding greenery rather than competing with it. Sculptural urns, untamed florals, and soft neutrals allowed the natural backdrop to shine, creating a ceremony space that felt intimate, organic, and effortlessly elevated. The bride’s sculptural bouquet full of movement and rich color, was a standout moment against her clean, modern gown.

A produce-forward design that felt alive

We wanted the tablescape to feel abundant and effortless, as if freshly gathered from a local Italian market. Artichokes, garlic bulbs, heirloom tomatoes, grapes, and even white asparagus were styled into the arrangements, adding a tactile richness that paired beautifully with lush florals in shades of deep red, rust, plum, and soft white. These living, breathing elements created a dynamic rhythm across the table- rustic, romantic, and intentional.

Crocheted runners, stoneware plates, warm terracotta chargers, and checked napkins added layers of pattern without overwhelming the overall aesthetic. It felt grounded and artisanal, echoing the heart of Italian hospitality: beautifully curated but never fussy.

A shared table meant for connection

For dinner, we designed long family-style tables, an unmistakable nod to the heart of Italian culture. Patterned lace, tall taper candles, and abundant florals created a visually striking tablescape that encouraged conversation and connection. Each element, from the glassware to the flatware to the layered linens, contributed to the editorial’s vision of elevated simplicity.

Romantic portraits among vineyards and stone

The couple’s portraits captured exactly what we hoped to convey: old-world romance with a modern sensibility. The stone walls, verdant vines, and soft golden light brought an undeniably European energy, but the styling and posing remained fresh, fashion-forward, and deeply emotive.

A bar vignette inspired by countryside charm

Our bar moment embraced the playful side of the concept with its gingham skirting, overflowing florals, and still-life-style ingredient groupings. Oversized woven urns and wood tones brought a Tuscan farmhouse warmth, pairing naturally with the crisp wine glasses and illustrated signature cocktail menu. It struck the perfect balance between editorial chic and charming whimsy, a signature of this shoot.

A dessert moment that felt like a celebration

To honor the playful spirit of “That’s Amore,” we opted for a giant pavlova-style cake bursting with berries, edible florals, and textured meringue layers. It felt celebratory and joyful, still elevated, still refined, but a reminder that weddings are meant to be fun. The cake-cutting captured one of our favorite contrasts from the shoot: a sophisticated setting infused with moments of lighthearted charm.

Our goal: refined Italian romance with personality

This shoot was about finding the sweet spot between sophistication and charm. We wanted couples to see that an Italian-inspired wedding doesn’t need to be theme-heavy to feel transportive. By focusing on texture, natural elements, and thoughtful design moments, we created a celebration that felt modern, indulgent, and deeply romantic, with a wink of playfulness woven throughout.

Because at the end of the day… that’s amore.
