Featured in Black Bride, Antoinette and William’s wedding at the George Peabody Library in Baltimore was truly one for the books. I had the pleasure of meeting Antoinette through her cousin’s wedding, and it was an honor to plan her special day with William. Their deep love and respect for one another, as well as for their family and friends, was evident throughout every moment of their celebration. With guests coming from across the country, the stage was set for a remarkable day.

Antoinette envisioned an elegant affair, and we brought that to life with moody lighting, flickering candles, rich gold accents, and lush floral arrangements that added a sense of drama to the already stunning venue. The day began in downtown Baltimore, where the wedding party got ready amidst clear skies and crisp fall weather—a perfect backdrop for what was to come.

As the wedding party made their way to the historic George Peabody Library, the anticipation grew. The library, with its soaring book-lined walls and ornate architecture, was transformed with a blend of classic elegance and show stopping details. Guests were greeted by a romantic glow, setting the tone for a night full of heartfelt moments and unforgettable memories.

The ceremony at Antoinette and William’s wedding was breathtaking. A square floral arch framed the altar, mirroring the natural arches of the George Peabody Library, while market lights strung overhead added a perfect twinkle to the moody ambiance. Gold chairs seated their guests, who were welcomed by the soft melodies of a violinist and live singers, setting a warm and elegant tone. As the couple stood before the stunning backdrop, the officiant spoke beautiful words that resonated throughout the room, creating a heartfelt and intimate moment that celebrated their love in the most unforgettable way.

After the ceremony, Antoinette and William snuck away from the lively cocktail hour to capture some intimate moments around the historic George Peabody Library. With so many iconic spots to choose from, the photographer expertly guided them through the library’s stunning nearby backdrops. Antoinette, looking every bit like a real-life princess in her gorgeous gown, gracefully posed alongside William as they explored the grand space. One of the most memorable locations was the beautiful staircase, where the photographer captured breathtaking shots of the couple framed by the library’s timeless architecture, creating photos that perfectly captured the elegance and romance of the day.

While Antoinette and William were off capturing their romantic moments in the library, their guests were enjoying a delightful cocktail hour. Passed drinks and appetizers made their way through the crowd, while a Champagne lady added a touch of whimsy, offering glasses of bubbly to everyone. In keeping with the library theme, we created a beautiful bookshelf seating chart, adorned with lush greenery and flowers, making it both a functional and elegant display. The mirror welcome sign was set against antique furniture from the library’s own collection, and the florist elevated the look even further with stunning pops of blooms and greenery, blending perfectly into the timeless surroundings.

The reception space has to be my absolute favorite part of this wedding. I loved collaborating with the bride to bring her vision to life, and our vendor team worked tirelessly to flip the space from the ceremony to the reception in just one hour. It was truly a team effort, and I can’t emphasize enough how incredible every vendor was. The florist carefully arranged the flowers and candles, ensuring each detail was perfect. The catering team seamlessly moved the tables and chairs, setting everything up flawlessly, while my team and I placed menus and place cards, making sure every last detail looked impeccable. It was a beautiful transformation, and seeing it all come together felt like pure magic.

Now, it was time for the fun to begin! Antoinette and William kicked off the reception with a beautiful first dance, a moment perfectly captured by the photographer. Another standout shot was of William and his mom during their touching mother-son dance. As the candles illuminated the room, Antoinette’s dream became a reality—creating the moody and elegant atmosphere she had envisioned. After the cake was cut and heartfelt toasts were made, the dance floor officially opened. As a Grammy-nominee DJ, William couldn’t resist taking his moment on the dance floor, keeping the energy high and the celebration going strong well into the night!
