Scripps Seaside Forum, nestled on the shores of La Jolla, stands as a picturesque San Diego wedding venue offering an enchanting blend of beachfront elegance. With the choice to host the reception indoors or outdoors, couples are treated to a mesmerizing backdrop of the ocean and swaying palm trees. This venue allows for a truly personalized wedding experience, permitting couples to bring in their preferred vendors and craft a bespoke celebration.

In the heart of spring, Marie and Kap exchanged vows at Scripps Seaside Forum, surrounded by their dearest family and friends who had journeyed from around the globe to partake in the celebration. The couple radiates kindness, making the joyous occasion all the more memorable. I had the best time planning and designing with the happy couple and I loved seeing every detail come to life. The day kicked off with our photographer capturing some flatlays. Marie had set aside a few special items for this moment, including their wedding invitations, her dress, bouquet, shoes, and her wedding day perfume.

As the ladies got ready, the bride popped some bubbly, adding a festive touch to the atmosphere. After hair and makeup was finished, the girls seized a few minutes to capture some memorable photos together. Marie exuded sheer elegance and beauty, looking absolutely flawless as the excitement of the day unfolded.

The wedding party gathered at Scripps Seaside Forum and took advantage of the scenic surroundings. They snapped a few fun photos together, capturing the joy shared among the group. The venue’s beachfront charm provided the perfect backdrop for these moments.

With the breathtaking ocean as our backdrop, we aimed to let nature steal the show. Opting for a low ceremony arch that framed the ocean horizon, our incredibly talented florist worked their magic, creating a stunning focal point along with two smaller arrangements at the foot of the aisle. Our chairs from Found Rentals provided a modern touch and added a chic element to the ceremony space. As the ceremony unfolded, it was a beautiful blend of love, laughter, and heartwarming stories, creating a memorable and heartfelt beginning to Marie and Kap’s journey as a married couple.

Moving seamlessly into cocktail hour, guests enjoyed the elevated experience on the balcony with a picturesque view of the ocean. The refreshing breeze added to the laid-back ambiance as live music filled the air, creating a relaxing environment for everyone to savor. Delectable hors d’oeuvres and handcrafted cocktails added a perfect touch to the social gathering, setting the stage for an evening filled with more joyous moments and celebrations.

The bride and groom stole a quiet moment away on the beach to capture some romantic photos, and their adorable pup, Peanut, joined in the fun. Witnessing the couple and their furry friend share this special time together was heartwarming – Peanut added an extra dose of cuteness to the already beautiful scene. It was a joy to see them savoring these intimate moments, creating memories that reflected the love and happiness of their wedding day.

In line with Marie’s vision of San Diego elegance, we curated a modern and chic beach-inspired atmosphere. Warm wooden furniture was complemented with sleek black accents and gorgeous white blooms, striking a balance between sophistication and coastal charm. Repurposing the ceremony flowers to adorn the front of the sweetheart table seamlessly tied the design elements together. A stunning seating chart and matching welcome sign added a final touch of refinement, completing the ambiance of this modern, elegant affair that beautifully echoed the spirit of San Diego.

The beachfront reception commenced with the bride and groom’s first dance, setting the tone for an evening of celebration. Dinner was a highlight, courtesy of our incredible caterer who crafted a menu that delighted the senses. Guests were treated to a refreshing start with a strawberry feta salad, perfectly suited for the spring setting. The main course offered a choice between succulent scallops or a grilled flat iron steak, catering to a variety of tastes and ensuring a memorable dining experience for all.

Lila Cake Shop worked their magic to bake and design a breathtaking cake that perfectly captured the vintage aesthetic Marie envisioned. The classic cake-cutting moment included Kap dapping a bit of frosting on Marie’s nose, but she took it in stride, and it added a fun twist to the celebration.

The reception kicked into high gear with dancing, impromptu photo sessions, and a late-night snack featuring In-N-Out, a crowd-pleaser for all. The grand exit of the bride and groom was nothing short of spectacular, marked by a shower of silver streamers that guests joyously blasted into the air as the couple made their way out. To cap off the perfect day, the bride surprised the groom with a getaway vintage car, adding to their unforgettable celebration. It was a perfect end to a day filled with love, laughter, and memorable moments.
