Drawing inspiration from timeless old-world architecture, exquisite details, and enchanting floral arrangements, this spring wedding editorial beautifully captures the essence of garden romance and the profound emotions that infuse every unique love story. Adorned with a stunning gown crafted by Claire Pettibone, ethereal blooms courtesy of The Little Fleur Co., and delectable cocktails expertly crafted by Jucy Bartending, all set against the lush backdrop of The Marquess, this event allows couples to immerse themselves in the splendor of a spring garden and the rich tapestry of European old-world charm.
The day started with us creating some stunning flat lay photos, which were skillfully captured by Vanessa from XO and Fetti Photography. The bespoke invitation suite and stationery were designed and created by Epoch Design and truly added a touch of elegance. And of course, we couldn’t forget the sweet treats! These adorable fruit tarts were a perfect fit for our garden theme, and they tasted absolutely delicious.
This exquisite gown by Claire Pettibone complemented the European charm in this design. Hints of green adorned the lace, gracefully cascading down the sleeves and train, creating a truly elegant and whimsical appearance for our bride. I adored how these subtle green accents brought out the lush beauty of gardens and flourishing blooms.
The property had a stunning French chapel, offering an intimate setting that served as an ideal backdrop for our enchanting couple. We wanted the flowers to blend in with the chapel’s exterior and Zeyda from Little Fleur Co. made it happen. The vines had this whimsical charm as they spilled onto the ground and climbed up the sides of the chapel, kind of like a natural frame around the large wooden doors.
I knew I wanted to make the escort table extra special. Our sense of smell has this incredible power to trigger memories, instantly transporting us back to specific moments in our lives. It got me thinking about all those unique memories, like how a particular perfume can whisk me back to my first dance or the scent of colored markers can transport me back to grade school. That’s when I thought of using reed diffusers.
I wanted to create something memorable for our guests, something that would not only captivate them visually but also engage their senses. As the air filled with the sweet fragrance of white lilies and spring moss, guests were guided to their individual reed diffusers, each leading them to their respective tables. And the best part? They could take their diffuser home, enjoying the fresh wedding scent while memories flooded their minds.
For the guest table, we wanted to bring the essence of the garden with us. Inspired by a charming Parisian cafe I visited at the Palace of Versailles, we featured blooming branches and classic gold taper candles. A chandelier added elegance and we played with textures using La Tavola’s fine linen. The pink velvet napkins nicely complemented the cream linen.
Jucy Bartending skillfully mixed personalized, artisanal cocktails as the bride and groom shared affectionate moments. The menu featured a refreshing pear and rosemary concoction, a zesty lemon and Earl Grey port wine, and a tropical blend of pineapple and coconut rum.
I absolutely adore these intimate portraits of the couple. Interestingly, the lush and vibrant bouquet you see here is actually the second creation by our talented florist. We had a vision to showcase two distinct looks, and we couldn’t help but fall in love with the unique charm of this one.
