Michelle and Adam’s San Diego winter wedding was nothing short of beauty and elegance. The wedding was an intimate affair shared with their closest friends and family. This dreamy day was featured in The White Wren and highlighted its design and the couples meaningful love story. You can take a look here. The couple shared their special day at the beautiful Estancia La Jolla (one of my favorite San Diego wedding venues!). I love this venue for its hacienda style architecture and lush green backdrops. The happy couple chose to have their ceremony and cocktail hour at the private Olive Lawn and their reception took place at Greenfinch Restaurant. Each detail worked together to create their wedding vision. Come along and see the day unfold!

If you’re wondering if you should have your photographer take flatlay photos, the answer is yes! Make sure to set aside your wedding invitation and details card as well as any special accessories like your rings or perfume and cologne. I am in love with how our photographer, Pauline Conway, created this flatlay design. The fluffy florals create such a romantic vibe.

Our groom was looking spiffy in his tux! At times I see the groom get overlooked, so I encourage the boys to take the spotlight for a few minutes and embrace the moment with close family and friends.

Our bride was an actual princess for a day! Her smile never left her face and she enjoyed every moment. Her dress exuded grace and elegance and her tiara was the perfect touch of a fairytale moment.

Their first look was so magical. We truly felt all the emotions. This memorable moment was private and it felt like they were the only two people in the world.

I am all for tradition and seeing the bride for the first time at ceremony but I also love a good first look. A perk to having a first look is you can get a lot of your couple photos done before ceremony so you can fully enjoy cocktail hour and your reception with your guests.

The ceremony was in a gorgeous spot. Our florist, Azalea, from Wild and Behold, did a fantastic job on creating their deconstructed arch. Their linen welcome sign welcomed guests as they arrived and a string trio filled they air with love songs. As vows were exchanged, happy tears and smiles were shared throughout the family.

Estancia has some exquisite backdrops for photos. As the couple journeyed through the hotel, our photographer captured some beautiful moments

Cocktail hour featured the bride and grooms signature cocktails and tasty hors d’oeuvres. Guests chatted and enjoyed the stunning scenery around them.

I had such a fun time designing this reception space. Each detail brought purpose and meaning to the other items around it. The soft white and blush roses paired perfectly with the whimsical greenery. Each guest was given a favor box at their place setting with a sage green ribbon to bring together the design.

We transferred their deconstructed arch from ceremony to their sweetheart table and laid the two ceremony floral floor pieces in front of their table. They were engulfed in florals and candlelight. It was incredibly romantic.

Our florist hung greenery from the chandeliers above and it gave the room a special touch. Each guest received a personalized place card with a wax seal to indicate their meal. Champagne was popped and the night was ready to commence!

The couples first dance was so sweet. They took dance classes to nail down the choreography. They danced to “So Close” from the Disney movie Enchanted. As a big Disney fan, I couldn’t help but shed a happy tear. This was probably my favorite moment of the night.

And let’s not forget that fantastic cake made by LILA Cake Shop! This beautiful creation matched our design perfectly and it tasted oh so yummy. Delightful floral cupcakes surrounded the cake and the guests continued with an evening filled with dancing, laughter and so much love.
