Smaller weddings are taking over due to COVID-19 restrictions, but that comes with its perks.  Smaller weddings and styled elopements allow you to save on guests and splurge on a design and theme.

Take advantage of the 2020 wedding trends and create an event that is personalized to you and your loved one! Don’t get me wrong, I love the idea of a big wedding, but I am also really loving these styled, intimate events. Not only is it a simple planning process, but you also get the opportunity to make your wedding look like it came out of a magazine! Your day will be detailed, magical and stunning shared with your closest friends and family. Here are my 10 personal favorite 2020 weddings trends!

Dried Flowers

Since so many weddings are happening in Fall this year, dried florals will give the event an autumn feel. This trend gives a rustic and unique feel. I really like the look of fresh florals mixed with the dried. The different textures break up the arrangement and give it an unexpected soft touch. These beauties are budget and eco friendly and you can hang on to them long after the wedding.

Inclusive Menus (Vegan, Vegetarian, nut free options)

If you are a vegan (or follow a certain diet), offering a vegan meal to your guests shows some personality in the wedding. Also, if you have a lot of friends who eat a certain way, you will want to provide those kinds of foods. More and more people are choosing to eat clean or eat a certain way and I am down with that! I think offering these types of meals lets you guests feel included and special and can introduce different foods to your guests.

Self serve Refreshments

Bright Colors, Rich Tones

Bright colors are just what we need this year!  Brides are steering away from the classic pastels and going with a colorful palette that brings dimension to the event.

Eco Friendly, Recyclable, Natural Elements

Couples are planning their weddings with the environment in mind. From not using flower foam for arrangements to the design and manufacturing of the tent…we all are trying our best to make a positive impact on our planet.

Creative Card Displays

I have seen some fun card displays. Let your personality shine with incorporating things you enjoy and embrace your theme with similar colors and textures.

Pantone Color of the Year

I love love love this year’s Pantone color of the year! All shades of blues are coming out this 2020.

Interactive Cocktail Hour

I just recently went to a wedding with an oyster bar during cocktail hour. It was so fun! Guests were able to mingle and talk about their favorite styles and it was a perfect way to throw in a personal touch from the couple. Another creative idea is an olive oil tasting station or wine tasting!

Unique Stationary

Beautiful stationary can add that special touch to your big day. Have the stationary highlight your design and personality. Leaving a menu and personal name tag at each seat will allow your guests to feel special!
